The Yatala South (Exit 41) interchange upgrade will include the addition of a new bridge along with barriers in on/off ramps in order to deliver significant improvements in safety and traffic flow.

Pavement and road shoulders will be rehabilitated to provide improved safety for all road users. The upgrade works will also make the roads less flood prone and more resilient to flood events.

Hiddenvale Road Bridge Replacement

Hiddenvale Road Bridge Replacement

Tom Kerle Bridge on Hiddenvale Road, Calvert was replaced as part of a $3 million package for Ipswich City Council. AK Civil were responsible for all FRP packages including pier, abutments, bridge kerb, suspended service duct slab, and relieving slabs.

Loganlea Road Upgrade

Widening of the Ray Hodgson Bridge comprising of the construction of a new 7.5m wide section of bridge structure, tied into the existing northbound bridge.

Nudgee Recreation Reserve improvement project

The Nudgee Recreation Reserve project will include improvements such as shared use sporting fields that will cater to multiple sports including touch football, cricket, soccer, fitness equipment and shared paths for walking, running and cycling.

Forming part of Queensland Governments 10-year Roads of Strategic Importance corridor investment, the upgrade will see the current stretch of 35km road upgraded to a 4 lane road.

The Howard Creek Causeway upgrade will provide a safer road alignment with increased flood immunity by upgrading the existing pipe culverts to a multiple cell box culvert structure.
